Approved Tests

As I mentioned before, I’m doing test to get my HiSET diploma (High school equivalence). I made it with three tests of five already, those are Math, Writing and Social Studies. Only Redaction and Sciences left. Wish me luck.

Over the Garden Wall

I can’t believe that I did’t know about the existence of this series until now! I aired in November, 2014 and tell us the story of two half brothers, Wirt and Greg, that got lost on the way home. The series focus on the misadventures that the kids live in the forest, although they don’t know how they ended there or how to return home neither. If that weren't bad already, they are harassed by a dark entity known as “The Beast,” feared by anyone.

Since the  beginning I noticed some weird things in the series, things that I won’t tell because I don’t want to spoil the experience. I’ll just tell you to put attention on any details. Even when the series’ ending confirmed my suspicions about what was really happening, the ending really touch me and gives you a lot to discuss about for a long time.

Technically the series looks and sounds excellently. The backgrounds are super detailed and impressive, reminds me a lot pictures from old story books. The animation is fluid almost all the time, and it has an interesting character design. The dark parts are the best, because are those the ones that make you fell the essence of the series. The voice acting is generally good, but when we’are taking about the sound, music is the best part. The introduction, with its lyrics and synchronization with the visuals, gives you hints about what’s happening in its univers. The partes where are musical are pretty smoothly and doesn't feel foreced like tends to occure in other productions likes this.

Finally, as I said before, I don’t want to spoil the experience of watching this series, so goo ahead and do it! This are those pieces that you enjoy better if you know little about them. If you can get it on DVD or BlueRay don0t doubt on gettint it, even though is istill kinda new, I sure there is people that consider ir a classic already.

 Splatoon Global Testfire

Before anything I want to tell you that I like the game, is simple, energetic, colorful, good. How ever,  it bothered me the schedules thing that Nintedo used. The sesions  were of just one hour on a relatively bad times… I know that this  is not bad for the company, but I think not everyone could try it propietly. I woul d liket that  the demo were online until the realease of the full game.

Now let’s talk about gameplay, and said before, I like the game. My favortie set was Splater Jr.  Because it had a shield perfect when I was surounded by foes , i special the danmed Splat Rollers. Talking about Splat Rollers, I think  they were abit OP, they can killin one hit and have a good range. However, with some practice I  managed to keep them away. And ofcourse, even if I can’t spend on video games right now, I’m plannning to get it.

General Update, Game Releases in may.

Well...

Hi, long time since I wrote something here. The true is that I want to make this a hobby, and a least update this one time each week, but sometimes for any reason, I just don't feel like it. Maybe nobody reads me, whic I don't caer of, but I'll try to keep this updated.

As you might now, I'm attending to a Adult School in order to get my HiSET diploma, High School equivalence, and I'm about to finish. I just need to do Social Studies, Science, Writing, and Reading final tests. I did Math already, although I have to wait 10 days to know the results, I feel confident about it.

Darksiders 2 Impressions.

Some time ago I played Darksiders on Xbox 360, and I thing is somewhat good. Now I'm playig the sequel on Wii U and it exceeded my expectations, it has their problems though.

This time you'll use Death, one of the four horsemen of apocalypse. Death is way more agile than War, main character of the previous game, being faster attacking and climbing walls. Additionally, the game posses a better ability tree.

Visually is beautiful, I'm not a big fan of its "warcrafty" style though, I think considerably better. Scenarios are varied and colorful. The music no has more presence and is generally good, but is too calm and relaxing, and don't fit to well with the fights.

Gameplay is the best of this installment. It just not improve the fighting mechanics, but also add a good number of secondary weapons. It's also possible to equip a variety of armor sets and other accessories to improve Death. In the negative side, the armor designs is very similar between armor, in fact, it looks like is the same default armor with variants. Difficult looks reduce in comparison to the past game, for I recommend you to play it in the highest difficult since the begining if you are used to action games. Once again the puzzle sections are very long and just a few battles in the dungeos.

Something that bothers me is the fact of the game is trying to be more like an RPG, including now leveling up system, skill points, damage indicators that fill the screen with numbers, thankfully you can deactivate them. I don't think the game needed to make this changes. People use to say that this game looks like Zelda and it does. Not visually of course, but the share a lot of gameplay similarities. 

I like what I have played of Darksiders 2.

May Game Releases.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Personally this is not a game I anticipated, in fact it doesn't excited me a bit. Maybe it was for the bad taste that the first game left in my mouth. Never played the second one, so I don't know what to expect from this one.

Project Cars – I'm not fan of car simulators…

Splatoon – In this case I'm really interested in this game, unfortunately I won't buy it the day it comes out for economic problems. I don't have big expectation for this game neither, but I know is a party game to enjoy with friends.

Final Fantasy X/ X-2 HD Remaster for PS4 – Another game that I've never played and maybe I'll never do.

Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2: Record Braker – The SMT series has always called my attention, and I would love to get into Devil Survivor considering that these are Tactical RPGs, Which I love. I think this is the game that interest me the most of this month.

Back to School.

Well, thanks to my father,  I got back to school. It feels  good, you know. It feels good because before I had to sustain my own studies and my family with my earnings for a long time, and got to quit my studies because financial problems. It feels good to have his support once again.

But well, this is what I was working recently. 

I was also thinking on streaming. I already made a test, but later on I'll decide if I'll use that tool. Well, that's it for today. 

Moving

I know I haven't updated this thing in a while, but well.. I don't really have an excuse. Who read this anyway? Ha ha ha.

And yes, I'm moving to a new house that is actually near here. It a better house and is cool and stuff. The moving tires me, but the worst part is that I won't have Internet for around two weeks. Today one of the podcast I hear, Crossover, returned from vacation! but unfortunately I missed it. Well at least I can hear the MP3 later.

I'm currently working on another Carraman commission. This time is Dark Souls themed, game that you know I love.



Also about the next Famous Wolves drawing, I drew it again with a different pose.  This case will be Wolf O'donell from Star Fox series. A personal favorite and many of you guys. Recently I made a drawing of him and Fox

Still Alive... For the People who are Still Alive ♪♪♪

Well after almost a month I'm back updating this thing. Now I got a job, no the best but something, so that means that now I'll have less time to draw or play games. However, I need the job! is a bakery by the way.

In art business, if you follow me on Deviantart, Furaffinity, or any other of my accounts, you know that I have uploaded plenty artwork . Including commissions and some gifts. Also I'm working on Xanrhen's commission, in  which I appear; It's me and him in Mario Kart 8. You know, it feels weird to charge for a comish where you appear.

Continuing with the Famous Wolves thing, guess who's the next guy? Try guessing by the fighting pose.



















I've been playing DmC: Devil may cry, yes two times the same name, and Devil May Cry 3. I have never touch any DMC games before and  know many of the fans hate the new one, that's why I'm playing both of them, so I'll have a better reference point before give my opinion. Where I am both look great with some obvious differences, like the speed, visuals, and of course, the protagonist' personality.

For now I just want to rest, so well until next time!

Commissioned!

 Today I got commissioned by Blur. This time it's a Halloween themed gift for a friend of him. He told me this morning, so It is going to be done until tomorrow.

I like the way this is coming out.

Here is some preliminary sketches, and the final pose. He is like a mommy/zombie/werewolf/ thing. xD

Finally I'm playing Castlevania 3. I just played first three stages, and I already love it! The colorful graphics, the music, and the first Castlevania mechanics are back. Also, The use of three characters is a good addition to the game play.
